Recently, applicants requesting Indian electronic visas (e-visas) have increasingly faced noticeable delays in visa processing from the Consulate of India. Previously, most applications were reviewed within 72 hours, but the situation has changed: the Consulate of India has removed all official processing time information, and the review period has become significantly longer.
Due to a growing number of applications and overall system overload, the time required to review visa requests has increased.
In the past, travelers could rely on the 72-hour timeframe, but this is no longer the case, and actual visa issuance now takes considerably more time.
